Ready..Set...SWIM ACROSS THE LAKE:-)

The gun sounded across the lake for the start at 8.00am this morning for the 'Swim Across the Lake'.  
It is a 2.1 K swim and there were about 250 swimmers from all over Canada, US and Europe.
Ages ranged from 12-81...some complete novices and others with competitive backgrounds.
They swam across to 'Hot Sands Beach' where their times were called out as they crossed the finish line..
It reminded me of times when my wife and I were teenagers and we used to travel to the 'Kelowna Regatta' (not held anymore) for diving and swimming competitions.  We feel in love with Kelowna back then and when we got married, we knew where we wanted to live.
