Spiderlings

Another early walk today - left home at 7 a.m. and walked 4.7 miles in 1hour 50 min

It was rather warm… and I was glad to get back to a ‘second breakfast’ of coffee and toast (having eaten my sawdust and fruit at 6 a.m.)

There were a few butterflies about but they were very skittish and didn’t settle for a photograph.

My find of the day had to be this ‘parcel’ of baby spiders - suspended in the grass at the side of the path. All I noticed as I walked by was a mass of web filaments - it was only when I got closer that I could see dozens of little spiders inside!

I also added an extra of a rather splendid beetle that I spotted as well…
