Neat Eating!

I dont usually see such clean eating patterns when roses are attacked. It looks like the villain was trying to make a jig saw puzzle!

I'm not good in hot weather so I took myself into the shade with a new book to read for most of the afternoon. Jack brought me a gin and tonic after a while which also helped the cooling process.

The book, published in 1950, written by Barbara Comyns is called Our Spoons Came from Woolworths. It is partly autobiographical, funny, quirky and not a doorstop! I'll finish it tomorrow.
