Jacobsburg State Park ...

... American bull frog. 

Even though we are in the midst of a heat wave (3 consecutive days of over 90 degrees) we decided to have a picnic supper at Jacobsburg.  I had made up some egg salad earlier and we took that with us.  Delicious!

We were hoping to see some hummingbirds and we weren't disappointed.  The only disappointment was not being able to get any decent pictures.  But it's been that kind of year so far. 

I spotted this bull frog sitting out of the water and he/she was kind enough to sit still long enough for a few photos.  You don't usually see them outside of the pond.  And when you do they almost immediately jump back in!
