Carpet of green

(Backblipping our Cairngorm trip)

Wee drive first thing to Loch Insh - lovely drive but the weather was a bit blustery for our plans to take a kayak out.

So we crossed through Rothiemurchus to Glenmore, put the walking boots on and headed out.

Turns out we picked a more challenging route to the Green Lochan - arriving there after a hard hours walk to find day-trippers in sandals who'd come up the gentle forest track.

We had a bite to eat, enjoyed the views, and took the easy route back.

Main blip shows the forest, just the perfect piece of the Cairngorms for me. Extras of the lochan, and the bench nearby which has part of the famous Ryvoan bothy poem carved on it.
