Getting up Close and Personal...

I have always enjoyed macro photography revealing the intimate parts of subjects which we normally would not see or notice. So  set out this afternoon with my 50mm macro lens coupled with a 16mm extender to explore the inner lives of plants or more precisely their sexual organs. Whilst the finished image might be of some interest. it is the actual process of capturing the close-up flower shots that I really enjoy. Clockwise from the top left they are St. John's Wort, Anemone (sylvestnis), Cl;ematis (veticella) and the one that is probably the hardest to identify sit is not often we see the inside of the flower, a White Rose.
