A Whites Wash
No not Swansea but eight Swans-on-Sea seen in Pwllheli on the Llyn peninsula. I read that the collective noun for swans on the ground was a ‘bevy’ but a ‘wedge’ when on-the-wing. These were neither, so my suggestion for this floating queue is a ‘whitewash’.
They were viewed from the bridge over where the short river Afon Erch enters the tidal basin of the inner harbour near the marina.
A great couple of (hot) days sailing, with the added benefit of some fresh mackerel in a heavily iced cool box to bring home and barbecue.
