White Letter Hairstreak

......... it’s absolutely roasting out there today but I needed some exercise, so I was pleased when it clouded over a bit after lunch and took the opportunity for a short stroll.
Not really very many insects about ( maybe it’s too hot for them too ) but I was thrilled to come across this beauty along the farm track. It didn’t hang around very long so I only managed a couple of shots and this was probably the best of them ;-)
