After today's result against Italy, this was not Ireland's finest 6 Nations campaign.... :( Without even looking at how the team played on the pitch, we had more injuries, which became a bit of a joke in the end if I'm honest! Taking both injured players since before the Nations and then those during it into consideration, it's safe to say that Ireland's first choice starting 15 are all in tatters! Get better soon guys! You have a Lions tour to go on!

Lets hope that we haven't seen the last of Brian O'Drsicoll in the No.13 shirt. He had hinted that this may have been his last Nations, but I think he knows he has one more year left in the tank! And anyway, who would want to end such a dazzling, record setting career like this - beaten by Italy of all countries and then spending time in the Sin Bin?! Come back BOD - your country still needs you! :)

O, and very well played Wales in spoiling England's Grand Slam party! Made our loss easier to swallow knowing the English were denied glory! haha! And I never thought I'd say it, but even though I received the usual post match gloating from the Scottish, it is the Scotland team that Irish fans must thank for holding out against France to give them the wooden spoon instead of us! Although as someone put it, at least we would have then had something to stir our guinness with tomorrow!

And so ends the 2013 6 Nations and with it any decent sporting action on the telly until the grass courts of Wimbledon come a calling in June!
