Reeds In Evening Light

A return to another prolonged spell of hot dry weather. Subdued evening light, sort of hazy, rendered the backlit reeds in sepia tones. Just a few boats pootling around enjoying their time on the water.

Although I embrace the simplicity of this image, I now wonder whether a lower vantage point might have been better, to reduce the expanse of water and overlap the reeds into the sky. I'll have to remember another time.

But I do like the contrast of in focus reeds against the softer distant trees.
