Introducing Sweet Peas
I have decided to combine two blip challenges
For “TinyTuesday”, a little bouquet picked by J from our perennial sweet pea plant, which is doing very well. The leaf cutter bees are enjoying the nectar at the moment too (extra).
And for “BCintroduce”, that is a very out of focus me reflected in the mirror. I started blipping 7.5 years ago. It was a New Years resolution, 12 month project which has somehow extended. My interest was in recording life on a day to day basis. I had no idea about following and being followed until I was six months in (I can be a bit slow). I still enjoy the process of recording a moment each day.
March 2020 was seminal. I was due to retire at the end of the month, but the pandemic changed that. Faced with lockdown I delayed three months to help out, getting a taste of full time home working (so I have now been retired just over a year). And because of a health condition, we found ourselves shielding, and remain in that territory.
Every day is different. Today I have sorted out British Gas visiting my elderly parents 180 miles away to fix a plumbing issue. I have been looking at submissions for a regional award scheme (various categories) which I am helping to judge - it’s all being arranged online, although I may visit a few places if that is “doable”. I’ve been keeping an eye on our plants to make sure they don’t dry up in the extreme heat. I’ve been liaising with J who has made a hospital visit (we are frequent visitors). And next - I am heading to the kitchen to prepare this evenings meal. I have a range of emotions day to day and week to week, but boredom certainly never gets a look in.
