River Cam

We visited Cambridge today and had a great time exploring. The architecture of the college buildings is breath-taking but the highlight of my day was a 45 minute punt trip on the River Cam with a very knowledgeable and amusing punter who shared lots of interesting tales with us. This photo shows the Mathematic Bridge, so called because it is the angles in its construction which gives it strength. Our afternoon finished with a dramatic thunderstorm which fortunately didn’t reach its height until we had boarded our bus back to the campsite!
