Evening Primrose in the evening
I went to water my allotment about 9.30 last night - left about 10.15 and took this. Still plenty of light.
It’s been 32 here today. At Fareshare this morning we had to keep the chiller room closed - the refrigeration was struggling - and could only pick stuff in the main warehouse - one of those ubiquitous metal sheds seen all over in retail and industrial parks. It was boiling hot - with none of the relief of going into the chiller room for respite. Then I walked home as something had gone wrong with the buses. I don’t know whether the buses had broken down, or the staff were self isolating, or the staff were ill from driving in an oven for 8 hours the previous day, anyway, no buses going my way. About 45 mins in the sun at midday with no relief. When I got home, I drank masses of water, but I’ve been struggling a bit and not feeling quite right. I’m sure I’m not the only person!!
My cat P keeps jumping onto my lap - she’s not used to seeing me sit down so much - and fortunately she quickly realises it’s a terrible idea and gets off again:)
What with one thing and another, I’m really behind with looking at peoples journals, and making comments. Hope to catch up over the next day or two.
