Cats and Dogs

We knew they we might get a heavy shower today but we weren’t prepared for the thunderstorm and prolonged torrential downpour we ended up with. There is a lot of flooding in the village and it sounds like the ‘Blitz Spirit’ has been in full force up and down Linton with villagers helping to bail out and mop up. We’ve been very lucky that so far the river hasn’t risen too much.

Alfie started his new job at Dalehead Foods this afternoon, doing a late shift until 1am. We’ve had a text from him saying ‘this is the worst thing I have ever done in my whole life’.
Oh dear.
