Heatwave … for the record.

The southwest of the U.K. was declared a heat emergency today. The thermometer in our car hit 32 degrees as we drove home from a lovely pub lunch on the Cotswold escarpment with our daughter. She was the only member of her family still free to circulate beyond her house due to current Covid restrictions.

Despite the heat we made encouraging progress with our onward house purchase today. Hopefully everything will eventually fall into place fairly soon!

We walked along the promenade here in the slightly cooler evening. Yes, Cheltenham does have a promenade too but no sweeping sea views to go with it!
