Swift travels

Today we headed south to Lancaster ahead of a major family event.

The journey was smooth and easy and our rented accommodation is lovely. The building is surrounded by house martins and swifts: I believe this is a swift. one of many on the telegraph wires.

We settled in. Got familiar with the property: only downside in this heat is that there is an AGA in the kitchen which always radiates warmth. Lovely in winter but with temperatures of 27oC+ outside, and little breeze, not ideal.

Did a big shop to set us up for the week and prepared for lunch tomorrow with visiting friends.

The countryside looked lovely all the way down as the extra shows.
