Need new trainers!

Managed to get all the mud out of my running gear after a couple of washes yesterday however I think I am just going to bin these trainers. I checked back and they have served me well for over 500 running miles and multiple step and pump classes. I bet they are well chuffed to being sent off to trainer heaven by running the Mighty Deer Stalker.

Now that I have come down a bit from the elation of my first competitive run and checking the web site for the pictures, I have also been checking out some of the other events that this company organise. There is one called 'The Dirty Weekend' which is a 20 mile run with 200 obstacles. Ocean Colour Scene are this year's headliners at the infamous after event party. Can even take the campervan and get electric hook up. Perhaps something to contemplate for next year. Another interesting event is the Coast to Coast across which is something that I have always wanted to do - this involves running, biking and kayaking over a distance of 100 +. You can do this over two days and as part of a wee two person team. Although won't be considering anything like this until I have bagged my first marathon.
