ALMOND CROP

Waiting for us, a basket full of almonds, doubly welcome as the large stores in Cape Town import their nuts and have been out of unsalted almonds and peanuts for six weeks! I am shocked to think that we are not growing our own nuts. Such an easy crop, water-wise and such beautiful blossoms marking the end of Winter.
