Waffle

Despite another day of intense heat in excess of 30 degrees this canine companion wagged his tail and clamoured to have a ball thrown for repeated fetching! Waffle belongs to an old friend here who we always see on our regular return visits to the Cotswolds. It will be good to be back in much more frequent contact once our purchase is completed. Today our friend witnessed our signatures on important legal documents relating to our house purchase.

We noted two anomalies of Cheltenham life today. The first is the incessant screeching of sea gulls that have colonised the flat roofs of this regency town centre. Ironically the gulls are far louder than those we were used to back in sunny Joppa.

The second was a near head on collision with a fast black German made car that chose to ignore a temporary traffic light and had no intention of stopping. Fortuitously the road was just wide enough! Legally I believe these temporary lights are only advisory and observing them is not mandatory. However any ensuing collision would be liable to prosecution I guess? Might be hard to prove who had ignored the red light, though?
