Olympic splash!
Yet another warm and sunny day. We walked in to town to deliver documents to our lawyer. It was good to sit in the vicinity of the spray from Neptune’s fountain on the promenade to cool off. There are plans to restore its original function of re-circulating water from the river Chelt that flows, today, in a culvert below the fountain.
We came home to watch the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics. It was a poignant and moving event that I thought captured the right mood for a pandemic world striving to find some familiarity in such uncertain times.
As we had our evening meal outside the breeze picked up and a much more bearable temperature rolled in ahead of much needed rain forecast for tomorrow.
We walked in yet another direction this evening and encountered further familiar sights and memories from our previous times of living here.
