Good Ending
...to a long day.
We went early in the morning to leave the car for a service with Duarte, and then had breakfast there. Couldn't get a taxi and no buses outside term time, so ended up phoning Cecílio, who cheerfully came and got us, and then invited us for a roast turkey dinner, and then insisted they took us again to collect the car tonight, what friends they are.
Long chat with Duarte's 70yr old Dad, who was in the army in Angola for three years when the Carnation Revolution happened. He feels the Portuguese are thoroughly fed up with the system... and a lot more, interesting to listen and try to see from his point of view.
Ended the day with a waffle topped with red fruits and ice-cream, watching this fountain in Reguengos' redone main praça - it was good.
Gratefuls:
- another day with lots to appreciate
- breakfast, lunch and supper out!
- the moon, even more gorgeous than last night
