Two birthdays. Two cakes.

Our younger son today.

And yesterday it was that of our new daughter-in-law, the wife of my older son! They were away and came back today from honeymoon.

A hot day; too warm for cake making - my wife’s work.

We’d a BBQ this late afternoon as planned ages ago - and the weather more than obliged. Finally the six of us were together outside for a meal and catch-up. There was a lot of Wedding talk!

Today has been full on. An early hospital appointment in Edinburgh in the morning and a foreshore walk to reflect on life afterwards.
