DARTER

It's a Common Darter on Hawthorn. There were a few of them about as well as one or two Ruddy Darters and some butterflies when I went over to RSPB Saltholme. As seems to happen more often than not these days, I spend so much time wandering up and down the path between the car park and the road that I don't get round to going through to the main reserve. I was excited to see a Barn Owl and a Sparrowhawk along there today, though only as they flew off! And I was chomped on by some biting insects so those might start itching in the middle of the night.

Thanks to every one of you lovely Blippers who visited my journal yesterday and left hearts, stars and lovely messages for my 10th anniversary Blip. xx
