Celebrating...

...the secondary school graduation of my friend's daughter in Tuusula. I was there with the boys, as Triinu was at work. 170 kilometres each way, but a nice day to drive. A bit on the hot side (+28°C) to sit out in the sun though, but luckily they had a tent to provide shadow.

Back via Vehoniemi car museum to see their exhibition this summer. In the first extra two extreme cars from the 20's: a tiny Peugeot Quadrilette and a huge Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, with a Soviet ZIS-110 limousine that was donated to the Finnish President J.K. Paasikivi in 1955. In the second extra a car with an interesting story, Fiat 1500 Pininfarina Coupe that was given to sculptor Eila Hiltunen by Sergio Farina as a payment for artwork. She could choose the car from the factory garage herself and she used it for the rest of her life. It's the only sample of the model in Finland, and less than 2000 were made. I recently found out that I share two things with Eila Hiltunen: birthday and love of the Val d'Orcia region in Tuscany.

Backblipped yesterday.
