A survivor

This beautiful orchid survived - us! A lovely old neighbour gave us a pot of orchid bulbs from his garden a few years ago. We split them into three pots and placed them in an out of way corner of our garden. The nearby bushes grew and obscured them from view and, to our shame, we forget about them.

Recently, while doing some major trimming, we discovered them. We moved them and fed them and then, lo and behold, one of them produced this beauty. Just as the flowers started to wilt a little we cut this stalk to enjoy indoors (see extra).
