Mono Monday: Back to the 60’s

We all like a bargain, yes?  So if you see a whole penny ha’penny (that’s 0.625p in this new-fangled money) off a bar of soap, you’re going to stock up with enough to last a while so it’s still going strong.  The sharp eyed will notice that the price was 1/1 (just over 5p) so with an original price of one and tuppence ha’penny that was over a 10% reduction; quite a bargain.

Now it’s just possible that this was from the 70’s some time up until February 15th 1971, but I’m pretty sure it dates Back to the Sixties.
