Like the previous trip, wildlife had to avoided on the return. It wasn't a stone after all, and a swerve was required to miss the large Toad that decided to jump in front of my wheel. On the fast downhill stretch, something seemed to move in the shady darkness of a wood, and then upon recognising danger there was some panic from both parties - escape for the Roe Deer, and rapidly slowing down for me, lest there were anymore about to jump out of the dark.
