Chicory

My plant identification app says that this wildflower in my alleyway is chicory and who am I to contradict!? It is an interesting flower as it is wonderfully colourful in the morning but then when the heat gets up it folds its petals and looks very plain. After the usual market shopping, I worked on finishing a painting and framing some others. There were five of us in our French conversation group this afternoon group but we are still in search of a Francophone to join us as it seems quite unnatural for a group of English people to speak French to each other.
