Finished .....

..... will we get chance to take it to Sweden this year?

This is the second playmat/bag as requested by my daughter.  All finished, with the eyelets hammered into place and the thread threaded.  It's quite large - about 1.5m diameter.

I have large box of stuff for Sweden in the corner of the study - it would be nice to think that various European countries will open up to fully vaccinated English soon, especially as the number of infections here is falling, so we can drive up to Sweden.  Looking at the current national web sites - it would appear that we could drive through The Netherlands to Germany, that Germany would be OK so long as we could prove we've had the vaccinations.  The problem comes getting from Germany to Sweden - Sweden would accept an EU Covid passport, for arrivals from Germany - but not a UK one, as far as I can see!  WHY OH WHY DID WE LEAVE THE EU???????????????


We've had yet another day when the promised rain has largely failed to materialise - it was raining at just after 1pm, so L, our gardener, cancelled, only for it to immediately stop!  We've had a total of 1.5mm this afternoon.
