Workstation
My workstation has temporarily been compressed onto one table, as we parted with the other table (seen here on the right, with white legs - the paint from which kept flaking off). It was left behind by my daughter when she went off to Sweden, and once she was settled there, she decided she didn't want it, and I've been using it ever since. Last week I advertised it on the local Facebook page, and a lady asked for it. She has already smartened it up, and sent me a photo - very impressed, and nice to see it getting some tlc - I've added her photo (edited to remove identifying photographs) as an extra. I do need two tables, but this one wasn't the most functional, so we will replace it with something more functional, but probably less beautiful once settled in Ireland.
We were supposed to be hosting Christmas in Ireland for both daughters and their families this year, but for various reasons - not just the distinct possibility that we won't be sufficiently sorted - that idea has been shelved. Instead, we are taking a large AirBnb place in Pakenham for 5 days, with room for all three families. Some of the Swedish contingent will drive over, others will fly. We will drive from Ireland.
After spending the morning chatting with R whilst she organised this, and also hassling our conveyancers, I retreated to the studio for the afternoon and made several more of the "stretched stars" for the cranky quilt. Two more to make, then I'll put them all together with strips of the background fabric between each. Then the whole lot will go away, and probably not come out again until next year.
