Here is your Gold Medal winner for the Individual Speed Pollinator Competition: Frosty the Snowberry Clearwing Moth! Frosty’s best lap time was a full second ahead of Andrena Mining Bee, the winner of the Silver Medal, with the Bronze going to fan favorite, Henrietta Hover Fly. It was a spectacular event despite the not so ideal weather conditions but our athletes persevered proving consistent training does make a difference • It’s time for Frosty to step up to the podium to accept her Golden Flower. Certainly well earned and well deserved. During the ceremony you’ll hear our Ensemble playing the AOG Anthem, a piece of music specifically created for these 2021 Games. It’s a wonderful blending of Nature’s best: the haunting voices of Loons and Goldfinches, with Crickets and Peepers providing the mesmerizing melody. Let’s listen in!
