Green-Veined White
Just a quick visit to Kinghorn Loch this afternoon where there were lots of green-veined white, Pieris napi, butterflies flitting about.
Every so often, something orange fluttered up to chase off a white before settling back down again. You've guessed it - a dark green fritillary. After travelling all the way to North Queensferry to capture a good image of such a beast, here was one that had turned up on my doorstep. A first for me at this site. (See 'extra')
