Lanercost Priory

Back Blip. Started our Hadrian's Wall trip at Lanercost Priory, which is built mostly from stone reclaimed from the Roman Wall. Recycling in nothing new. Great ancient monument one of the first monasic buildings to be dissolve by Henry VIII. If you ever visit here watch out for the over enthusiastic English Heritage site manager and her join as members speel. We resisted, I bet many haven't though.
