Try to imagine a world
without hypothetical situations !!!
Great day today. 32 children and 7 adults went out on a school trip and 32 children and 7 adults returned safely from their school trip. What a stress it is to take out a group of little peeps, but such a fantastic day.
We were out visiting the Tropiquaria
Tropiquaria Zoo is a small tropical house and zoo in West Somerset, England. It is about 9 miles away from Minehead.
It is based in a 1930's art deco BBC Radio transmitter hall, which is now a grade 2 listed building. A zoo has been run from this site since the early 1990s.
Tropiquaria includes a tropical hall with a variety of snakes and lizards, caiman and small carnivores such as raccoons and skunks. Outside are macaws, helmeted curassow, cockatoos, parrots, agoutis, gibbons, serval, wildcats, wallabies, emus, rheas, tapir, cotton-top tamarins, red-handed tamarins, ring-tailed lemurs, ruffed lemurs, brown lemurs, coatis, yellow mongoose and meerkats amongst many many others. We didn't have time to see them all but most of them were ticked off the list :)
There is also the Washford Radio Museum, the Shadowstring Puppet Theatre, and a number of indoor and outdoor children's play areas. Which sadly our adults were all too big for, but the children had a great time.
It was a little bit soggy underfoot with all the rain, (we had glorious sunshine ALL day today !!!! not that I am gloating AT all) but absolutely no one fell over ... they trip over their own shadows most days at school but today they completely rose to the challenge of staying upright and not having to sit on bin liners on the coach on the way home - amazing.
As you can probably imagine today was filled with potential Blips but my favourite animal in the whole place was a very quiet and quite shy macaw, who watched us all sedately from his perch
