Corncockle

Earlier in the year I bought a planter and seeds that were end-of-line so cost very little. There were supposed to be a variety of plants but all but one so far are corncockles.
In the early hours the threatened rain and storm arrived and passed almost over the house, it sounded as if the world was cracking apart. No need to water the garden for a bit, now.
Today was mostly dry and quite bright but not really gardening conditions unless it was urgent. I did a bit of sewing and have completed a major section so it will probably go away for a little while. Foodbank and lunch distribution were quiet and only 4 of us were out for a run, cooler conditions than of late.
The run was a definite bonus as I had had several issues to deal with by phone and email which was a bit stressful and the run helped restore perspective.
