Hoverfly

Had 3 grandchildren today. We went for a walk quite early to avoid the forecast thunder and rain and they chose to go to the ponds. Lots of birds to see as well as other things, including this very small hoverfly.
There were a few spots of rain only and the sun came out this afternoon, making it uncomfortably warm and muggy.
Other things we did with them were picking (and eating) fruit, playing card games and them playing with the old toys. The time went quite quickly.
We still haven't had the rain, the garden really needs it.
