Roadtrip day 2
Early walk down to the beach so Pose could have a morning swim. It was much colder than yesterday, she’s braver than me. Back up to the van for coffee and breakfast with our lovely view.
After that it was only a short drive along the coast to Tenby for the day. It was much much busier than when I was last there, which made it a bit stressful. We were grateful when it started raining and lots of people disappeared, but not so grateful when it continued to rain while we were queuing for coffee at Stowaway. Thankfully we managed to find a free arch to hide under for our drinks and brownies.
It drizzled on and off for the next few hours, but we had some nice sandwiches for lunch and looked in lots of good charity shops.
After Tenby we headed east and ended up at Little Haven. We tried to book into a campsite but they were full so we found a quiet spot out in the countryside. The map showed a 30 minute walk back to the village, so we decided to go for a drink before coming back to the van for dinner. However, lack of phone signal meant a couple of wrong turns, so about an hour later we accidentally arrived at Broad Haven (the wrong village!). We looked around for somewhere nice for a pint, but it wasn’t really our vibe so we carried on along the coast to our original destination. By this point we were starving, so we got food at the pub too.
Got back to the van just after sunset and hunkered in for the night. It was a bit scary being in the middle of nowhere, especially when someone was outside in the pitch black.
