Not as inviting as it looks

A photo of a photo- the river Makarora’s Blue Pools in Mount Aspiring National Park. I ran the trail virtually in the gym this morning. It would probably have made more sense to do this before yoga rather than after. My pace was way off but the elevation felt fine.
I walked the real trail with M a few years back when we were enroute  to Wanaka from Franz Josef.
The water was incredibly inviting but ice cold, painful even just to paddle. Would make Glen Rosa feel like a hot bath.
