Mackintosh Role Play

We had a class from Muir Street Primary School visit the Mackintosh Church today as part of a Pilot Workshop for The Amazing Mr. Mackintosh.

Pauline McCloy has developed for the Society, a theatre and performance based workshop for Primary School groups.

The synopsis is a Hollywood film crew is in Glasgow making a movie all about our cities favourite artist, designer and architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Within the Mackintosh Church, the class got into character and brought to life the man himself, his friends, his family and his fellow artists. It finished with the children performing their very own original scenarios for the Hollywood 'crew', using drama and role play techniques. All the children had a great time wearing costumes, hats, wigs and moustaches.
