AOG - Day 12
It has been an eventful morning at the New Jersey AOG Village! We discovered Gabe and Gertie had spent the night in a deluxe suite in the Mountain Mint B & B and were still snuggled in at mid-morning, basking in the ... well, whatever. Gertie waved me off when I requested an interview and reached for a cigarette instead. See HERE
But the big news of the day was the first appearance of Igor of Team Jumping Spider! He was sitting on the stoop rudbeckia catching some early morning rays when I spotted him. I asked how he felt about his prospects in the long-jump and he said he was cautiously optimistic even though Team Katydid is favored to win. He evasively said he still had a few tricks up his sleeves. We'll be keeping an eye on him since Team Jumper has been known in past AOG to - ahem - dispatch their competitors.
And speaking of keeping an eye on things - we'll be watching Team Tachinid Fly very, very closely. They sent their team Captain, Hairy, into the Mountain Mint Arena under the auspices of practicing for the pollinating time trials. We are concerned, however, that no Tiger Moth Caterpillars were seen in the area and Hairy looked quite smug. See for yourself HERE. (His kind lay their eggs in the caterpillars of tiger moths which has a predictably sad ending for the caterpillar.) Stay tuned.
Don't miss a single minute of the AOG! Yesterday's full reports can be viewed HERE. Today's tag is #aog2112 and tomorrow's is #aog2113.
And thanks to H0tamer for hosting TinyTuesday and giving little Igor a chance to enter the competition!
Dark with sour cherry today.

It's a gorgeous day so I think I'll load up the kayak and go for a paddle this afternoon.
