Why did I come in here?

Embrace Change........

The adverts are extolling us to “Embrace Change.” Well if I could find her I would!!!

At the end of September we will collect our new car. This time we are going the whole hog and it will be totally electric, no hybrid engine; a Hyundai Kona. The range is almost 300 miles, to charge the battery on a smart meter will cost us approximately £4.85, according to the What Car driver who has had one on long term test for 6 months. Comparing that to petrol at £1.25 litre or almost £6.00 a gallon that seems a very good return. Of course the car is more expensive initially and then you can pay to have a charging unit fitted, about £300.

The fitter told us of a lady whose Tesla is simply plugged into the mains and consequently can take 16 - 18 hours to recharge. This little BP Pulse will do the same job in about 4 hours as it pumps out 7.5Kw. There are other benefits, no car tax, no engine servicing, no panic buying when the wells run dry as the Middle East has it’s bi-annual melt-down.

The recharging unit can be controlled from our smart phones, the car can also be started while we are having breakfast so it’s warm and cosy when Robert’s slim botty hits the leather.

So, get out there, find Change and get embracing.
