Produce
Not a great haul but enough for us. These maincrop spuds were grown in bags and I don't they produce as many especially when they haven't been watered enough and earthed up while we were away.
Tomatoes are quite good considering they are dwarf plants grown for on top of the boat. We have one large courgette - a martow really now! The carrots - well they always do well in my half barrels made from a compost bin cut in half. Also the herbs in the wooden half barrel and the little bay tree are looking good.
This morning Frank dropped me off in Skipton to get a few things I needed then he went to the boat to clean the outside. When I had finished shopping Frank came to get me and we went back to the boat so I could clean the inside and and make up the bed.
Sabrina and John and the girls are coming down tomorrow and we will have the girls for a night while S+J have a night on the boat so they can go out for dinner a few drinks and won't have to get a taxi. They never have that luxury.
They will be here for almost a week! :-D
I've been getting the urge to have another clear out and have a charity bag half full. That's only the beginning - once I start I can't stop! Today it was the book case. Yesterday I sorted the fabrics and art stuff and swopped cupboards round so now the fabrics are all in the attic guest/music/sewong room and the art stuff in the big cupboard in the grandkids room.
It's therapy for me. :-)
Goodnight ;-)X
