Not a good day today. Morning started OK with a nice dog walk on the golf course. J headed off to take her nieces to the Van Gough exhibition in Leicester. Managed to finally get the house insurance changed over to mum’s name but she had to have another policy which went up £50 but the policy was due to end in 6 weeks anyway and would have gone up. The pension people want to have mums birth certificate but we can’t find it. They won’t move on this as apparently they will get fined by an auditor if they use mum driving licence or passport instead. Pish. Another complaint has gone in. Tried again to get a copy of mums birth certificate on the government website so finger crossed. Called up to get the electric changed to mum name and again she needs to have a new account which has resulted in a new tariff that is £4 per month more expensive. The current tariff they were on is for another 18 months so Scottish Power are going to make £70 just because dad has died, another complaint is in to them. Went in to see the solicitor to get mums will changed over which went well. Came out and found that we had a parking ticket as mum thought we paid on the way out instead of a pay and display, put in a challenge to the ticket so we will see what happens. Came back and had another go at the new game and won this time. Tried to sort out a place to eat for a friends stag do in 10 day time with no luck in any of the placed he wanted to go. Seems to be one of those days.
