Fill

So after dropping off our girls at Alton Towers just after 9am, and then not having to pick them up 'til after 7pm, that left a fair bit of time for us grown-ups to 'fill'.

And as our girls later told me they'd predicted, the day did indeed involve a succession of little walks and 'outdoor things' interspersed with various stops for food and drink - coffee, cake, pub lunch, teatime pint in a sun-splashed beer garden, Dovedale, Manifold Valley, Ramshaw Rocks (pictured) included.

We had a great day doing our stuff. The girls had a great day being hurled around on very fast rollercoasters. Each to their  own I say.
