The price you pay

The figs are starting to ripen. The bush is loaded and the deer have not eaten them all yet. I do not care for figs but I have an old friend who makes homemade fig newtons so I will take her some for sure.
We put up the last 8 fence panels we had and uncovered this box turtle( see extra) in doing so. The scow on his face mimics mine when we went to Lowes to to buy the last 3 we need and found out the price has jumped from $29.99 to $78.99 since we started the project last year. It is our neighbors fence but a large limb off our pecan tree took out several panels and we replaced them. The old fence looked so bad after we did that we decided to replace the whole thing as time allowed. I'm guessing about 25 panels so far and the price had inched up but the last three are really going to set us back a good bit. That is if they get replaced at all.
