Montjuic

Backblipping this as too tired to publish it last night, after all the excitement of the day and 20,000 steps.

We rented our first electric car from a car-sharing club. It wasn't all smooth-sailing, neitber to join, book, not leave back in the car park. The pick up worked fine though!  Hopefully, now we know the ropes, it will be easier next time.  This was really just to test the system and so we used it only in the city and to go up to Montjuïc, where we had a good walk with views of the city, the sea and enjoyed the fresh air and nature there. Great to see all the different plants, trees, and even butterflies - see 2nd extra. My main blip is of the Olympic-size swimming pool and diving pool of too the left, built for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, which was during our 2nd year living here. My other extra is of the port from above.  

With all that walking, I decided I'd like steak for dinner and after dropping off the car, we passed a place that specialised in barbecued meat, so we enjoyed dinner on their terrace. Good meat and nice service. Then collapsed into bed exhausted!

We're enjoying our staycation so far :-)
