Fishbone door hinges

Another day, another church… this one at Brooke with an unusual set of hinge plates on a side door. Extra of the reliquary casket found at the nearby priory- it’s an amazing piece of Limoges enamelware from about 1200AD. Later we saw the real thing in Rutland Museum. Along with other interesting displays including a Baden Powell mangle (how times have changed, the mind boggles!)
