Feeling Ruffled

Walking down by the canal this morning I got to thinking what I would do if someone ever jumped out at me! I came to the decision that the only option would be to jump into the canal and make a dash for the opposite fields!

This afternoon I had a call from a very distressed (hysterical) Dark Rose. On her walk back home from work some maniac came at her with a knife. She ran into the road and managed to get the woman (who had a small child in the car) to stop and let her in. The man approached and circled the car, so the woman drove off quickly.

They phoned the police and with an escort drove round until they found the maniac. He was arrested and they now want Dark Rose to give a witness statement in order for charges to be brought against him!

Given that this is her route to work, and that she could easily be identified if someone googled her name, she has declined. 

I’ve just had a very large g&t and it’ll be an early night for me.

Good progress on the house today until the rain set in but I can’t be bothered to go and take a picture, so will have to add it tomorrow.
