Blipland Warmth & Generosity

Blipper PeninsulaLight left me a very exciting message yesterday asking if I'd be interested in an old map of Wharfedale from 1951.  You probably know by now I'm passionate about the place, cherish exploring and both Rich and I love maps.  

Incredibly, PL had it arrive on the doorstep this morning!

Unbelievably, our village is bang in the centre of the map with just a few dots for houses and we live in the place marked 'asylum' - quite fitting, you might say.

Gleefully, I took it to the wonderful picture framers, The Art Works in Otley. Don't you just love their protection screen?!

We've already enjoyed a browse of the map, spotting how less built up all the towns and villages were, but it's going to take pride of place somewhere where we can really enjoy it.  It should be ready in a few weeks time.

We do have a special place here in Blipland, don't we?  Thank you so much PL - it's going to be protected and absolutely treasured.
