Avenue Of Trees, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens
After yesterday's rolling downpours it was rather amazing to wake up to a beautiful summer's blue sky, even if it was a slightly cold for an early morning run when we set off. We made it down to the village and then ran along the footpath beside the river, the sun glinting off the water and lifting our spirits after the previous day's dark humours.
After a little bit of deliberation we decided to make a micro trip to Sissinghurst Castle Gardens before the weekly food shop. Unluckily, by the time we got there a persistent drizzle had set in but luckily it is an evocative (if expensive - £15 each entry fee!) place to try and capture an image. I really liked the shifting shapes, angles and forms of the ornate gardens and hope my image has captured this.
After the food shop it was time for our usual Sunday pint in town where I took my very different extra shot. It's another reason I love photography - you can capture two completely different worlds in less than a couple of hours. Typically, as we were leaving the pub to go home the sun reappeared and we were back to summer again!
